Uniform Policy
Goodloe Elementary School Uniform Policy
Building Excellence One Block at a Time
At Goodloe Elementary, we believe that a consistent school uniform promotes a positive learning environment, minimizes distractions, and encourages school pride. All students are expected to follow the uniform policy each day.
Students may wear solid-colored tops in navy blue or white. Acceptable shirt styles include golf-style or polo shirts, oxford or button-down dress shirts, turtlenecks, crew neck shirts, and white blouses with Peter Pan collars. Both short and long sleeves are permitted. However, sleeveless tops and T-shirts are not allowed. All shirts and blouses must be tucked in while at school.
Uniform bottoms must be tan or navy blue. Students may wear pants, walking shorts, skirts, jumpers, or knee-length skorts. Acceptable styles include full-length dress pants, boot cut or straight leg pants, cargo pants, straight leg capris or crop pants, and walking skorts. All skirts, skorts, and jumpers must be knee-length or longer. Denim jeans, leggings, or excessively baggy pants are not allowed. Belts must be worn with pants that have belt loops, and pants should be fitted properly at the waist.
Students are allowed to wear vests, sweaters, sweatshirts, cardigans, and jackets over their uniforms in solid white, tan, or navy blue. Outerwear made from denim material is not permitted.
We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a school culture that reflects pride, structure, and academic focus. If you have any questions about the uniform policy, please contact the school office. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s success!
